Donations
Interested in donating to the Monarch Joint Venture? You can do so during your checkout process in our store! On the last page of the checkout you can add a donation amount of your choosing--this is totally optional. If you don't end up making a purchase in our store and would still like to donate, you can donate here. All donations go towards supporting the work we do to conserve monarch butterflies and their magnificent migration.
Handouts & Printed Materials
Looking for our printed handouts and bookmarks? You can check out our handouts & bookmarks on our downloads and resources page and order collections through our store, or email store@monarchjointventure.org if you would like to place a bulk order. Please note that we do not always have all of the MJV handouts printed and available for order. You can also bring the pdf files to your local printer and have them print them for you, or print them yourself.
Bulk Handout Pricing (includes shipping and handling):
- $250 for 1,000 handouts
- $145 for 500 handouts
- $90 for 250 handouts
Bulk Orders
Interested in placing a large order of a product? We offer bulk discount pricing for certain store products for orders over 15-20 items (discount and eligibility is dependent upon the product & quantity). Please contact us to place a bulk order.
Payments
The MJV online can accept orders via payments of credit card, check by mail, or purchase order. Just choose the appropriate method when you check out. If you choose to pay with a check by mail, we will send your order as soon as the check has been received. Any questions can be directed to the store manager store@monarchjointventure.org.

If you are having problems with submitting your online credit card payment, please contact the store manager at store@monarchjointventure.org and mention specifically what the error message or problem is. We cannot accept payment over the phone. Please DO NOT send credit card numbers via email.
If you have tax-exempt status, please email our store manager at store@monarchjointventure.org and we will assist you (see below).
Tax-Exempt Orders
The MJV Store is based in Minnesota, so Minnesota tax exempt individuals or organizations must email us at store@monarchjointventure.org with the following information:
- Appropriate documentation to show your tax exempt status
- The items you wish to order including the shipping (a screenshot of your cart will work)
Please know that purchasing directly through the website will automatically charge you Minnesota State Sales Tax if you are based in Minnesota. Orders outside Minnesota will not be charged tax. If you are a tax exempt organization, and send us the necessary documentation, we will send you an invoice using your tax exempt status (and a PO if needed). As soon as this invoice is billed we will be able to send your order.
Shipping
We work to get your order to you in a timely manner. MJV staff who process orders also have other full-time duties, so we thank you for your understanding and patience. Please email us in addition to placing your order if there is an urgent need for items ordered. Please allow 2-5 business days for processing and another 3-7 days for shipping. In total, we try to get your order to you within 5-10 business days of receiving it.

International Orders
We are currently unable to process international orders through our online store. If you are located in Mexico or Canada, and would like to place an order and we will work with you to find the best method.
All other international orders are encouraged to contact us, but please be advised that shipping costs may be cost-prohibitive.
Do you sell or distribute milkweed?
- We do not sell or distribute milkweed, instead, leaving this up to the growers who do it so well! We encourage you to check out our Milkweed and Wildflower Vendor Map as a great place to start if you are looking for a place to purchase native plants.
Do you sell or distribute monarchs?
- We do NOT sell monarchs at any life stage. Research has shown that the captive breeding of monarchs can cause many negative effects--you can read more about the risks of rearing monarchs HERE. If you are looking to raise (rear) monarchs, please only do so if you also plan on contributing data to a monarch community science program.
Monarch Lab Store Merge
In March 2019, the Monarch Lab store merged with the MJV store. If you have been redirected from www.monarchlab.org and are searching for items that used to be available through Monarch Lab, please note that some items have been discontinued. Feel free to contact us with questions.
